Protect Mauna Kea Movement Gets Visit from Jason Momoa

Actor Jason Momoa has finally been able to join his people in Hawaii who are peacefully protesting a large telescope that is set to be installed on the sacred ground of Mauna Kea.

The Hawaiian-born actor had been following efforts by protesters to stop the project, but until today, he had not been able to join them.

“We’re not going anywhere.” Kānaka Maoli actor Jason Mamoa is at #MaunaKea on the Big Island of Hawai’i, standing with #ProtectMaunaKea kia’i and visiting with kūpuna, following other highly visible supporters like @therock, @jackjohnson and @damianmarley. ✊🏾 Photos above by Cody Fay (Via @icarusarts on Twitter).

UPDATE: Jason shared a bunch more photos today, on his actual birthday.
